~Students, please get your student parking pass in the main office. You must have a pass to park in the high school lot. 

 

~Students, this is a reminder that you must have written or phone permission to leave the school. Your parent or guardian must use the website or the absence line to give their permission BEFORE  you can leave the building.

 

~Any student playing sports: if you have equipment that will not fit in your locker, please drop them off at the safety attendants office after 7:30 am. for storage.

Any student that is 17.5 or older can register to vote on Tuesday during the student life fair. If you will be 18 on or before November 8th, you will be able to vote in our upcoming state election. Please bring a government issued ID (like a drivers license, state ID card, or passport)  to register.

Student Life Fair will be next Tuesday, October 4th during A and B lunches. Please come see what clubs and activities may interest you in joining. 

 

There will be a Be Nice meeting in Mrs. Vessel's room after school on Wednesday, October 5th.

 

The Arab Culture Society club will be meeting tomorrow morning at 7:15 in Ms. Hart’s room. Every other week we will be gathering to learn about various Arab cultures and countries with their food! Tomorrow the food is falafel from Egypt.

 

The girls’ cross country team placed second in the Dewitt Invitational on Saturday. Senior Lauren Hunter led the way with a third place finish with a time of 19:58 while junior Dora Henry finished 8th overall with a time of 20:49.

On the boys’ side, junior Nate Carmody won the boys race with a time of 15:49. Four members of the boys’ team set PR’s in the race, including sophomore Dylan Lydic with a time of 17:06, junior Jack Weichel with a 20:21, senior Tom Wawrzitz with a 21:04 and freshman Cameron Swope with a 22:32. 

 

Congratulations to the Haslett Girls Varsity Golf team.  They won the conference championship with 4 of the girls receiving all conference recognition. Sydney Dausman finished as medalist in first place, Mina Yoo finished the year in second place, Richa shah was also first team all-conference, and Molly Fortier received all-conference honorable mention.  Great job ladies!

 

(10/6)  Attention all students, the national honor society is hosting a rainbow run at HHS to raise money for the “You’ve got this!” Project on October 22nd. There will be a table in the cafeteria during both A and B lunches to register for this event and purchase a white t-shirt. Shirts will be on sale throughout this whole week (October 3rd-6th). 

 

(10/6)  Attention all NHS members, there will be an all member meeting on Tuesday October 11th at 7:15 in the Choir room. We will go over information regarding upcoming events including the rainbow run and the induction ceremony. Please remember that attendance is mandatory and will be checked!
