Wilkshire Artists Create Abstract Paintings

Developmental Kindergarten student artists at Wilkshire Early Childhood Center recently spent time learning about African American artist, Alma Woodsey Thomas. Thomas taught art for 35 years and, upon retiring, focused on her art. She was an abstract artist that used short brush strokes with a lot of color to create her pieces. Inspired by Thomas's work, the DK student artists used erasers and paint to create their own masterpieces.
