Michigan Outdoor Lessons at Murphy

Third graders at Murphy Elementary School participated in Michigan Outdoors Lessons as culminating activities for science and social studies.  Students enjoyed various hands-on activities while learning about the great state of Michigan.  These lessons included creating lanterns to use on nature walks while observing native Michigan plant and animal species.  They also participated in digs to explore the rocks, minerals, and fossils that can be found in Michigan.  It was a fun and interesting way to end the school year!
