Middle School Rallies Around Unified Team

On Friday, January 24, Haslett Middle School celebrated ending the usage of the R-word by holding a pep assembly. Students, staff, and families came together to watch the Unified Special Olympics team play a nail biting basketball game against Waverly High School's Unified team. HMS students chanted "Let's go players!" as they showed their support for all athletes and partners on the court. The fans cheered with every shot and basket made. The Vikings made a buzzer beater shot to tie the game. The Warriors snatched the win in over time just by 1 point.
