HMS Students Recognized in MLK Essay Contest

Congratulations to Haslett Middle School eighth-graders Ian Opel and Alicia Viaches for winning second and third place, respectively, in the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commission of Mid-Michigan's Essay Contest. Their essays focused on this year's contest theme - "There comes a time when silence is betrayal." The students were recognized at the MLK Day Luncheon at the Lansing Center.
