A Google associate visited Murphy Elementary School on Tuesday, February 20 to provide a Google Expeditions augmented reality (AR) learning experience to our students! Students used mobile devices on a selfie stick to observe 3D models and objects like hurricanes, planets in the solar system and dinosaurs. Expeditions AR uses Google's augmented reality technology to map the physical classroom and place 3D objects in front of students. Augmented reality technology allows students to walk all around the objects, get in close to spot details, and step back to see the full picture. It was an exciting and fun-filled learning experience for the students!
