Capital Area District Library Summer Reading Challenge

We know that reading is not just a fun and relaxing way to spend the summer—it’s also a great way for kids to avoid the summer slide. That’s the term used for a decline in reading ability and other academic skills that can occur while school is not in session.

A great way to avoid the slide is to sign up for Capital Area District Library's  free Summer Reading Challenge. Participants simply track their reading time and do fun activities to earn points they can exchange for prizes. It’s available for all ages!

  • Need a tutor?

As the end of the school year approaches, it is time to think about summer activities. Keeping your child on track in Reading and Math will help him/her stay on track and be prepared for school in the fall. The Ralya Office has a list of individuals from the District who are on a Summer Tutor List. You will need to make your own arrangements with the tutors for time, place, materials, and cost of tutoring.

  • Volunteer for Haslett Public Schools

There are many ways in which you can make a difference in the lives of our students. Volunteer opportunities exist in the classrooms, working directly with teachers and students, chaperoning field trips, assisting at recess or at lunchtime, or helping out at a PTO function, booster activity, or extracurricular event. We love our volunteers at Ralya!

A video tutorial on how to complete the Student Information Verification process is available at:  http://haslett.k12.mi.us/verify

If you do not remember your Family Access login information, click "Forgot Login/Password?" on the Skyward Family Access login screen. If you do not have a Skyward Family Access account, please complete the online form:
