Schools of Choice Open Enrollment
Haslett Public Schools participates in the State of Michigan Schools of Choice program as outlined in Section 105 and 105(c). This means that non-resident students can be enrolled without having to obtain approval from the district of residence. NOTE: Any special education student that applies for Schools of Choice who lives outside the Ingham Intermediate School District Boundaries (a Section 105c student), must have an agreement in place between the Haslett District and the student’s resident district as to which district will pay for the child’s special education programs and services. Without that written agreement, the special education student cannot enroll in the Haslett Public Schools.
The schools of choice application period for the upcoming school year typically opens in early May and closes in late May. The Schools of Choice application period for the 2024-25 school year has closed.
