Welcome to the Button Room! I simply can’t wait to meet you and begin a great year of learning and growing together. 

This is my eleventh year teaching kindergarten at Wilkshire-I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. I went to Wilkshire myself and graduated from Haslett. I went to college at Grand Valley State University and received my degree in Group Social Studies with a minor in Elementary Education. I love to travel, read, run and spend time with my husband, Kyle, and almost two-year-old son, Peter.

Kindergarten is such a special time. Often, it is the start of your school career. My goal, as your teacher, is to make our classroom a place you love coming to every day, where you can be yourself, make friends, enjoy learning and playing, and create a community of caring and kindness that you take with you wherever you go. Parents, you are your child’s first teacher and I look forward to working with you to help your child learn and love school.
