Haslett Public Schools - Summer Programs 2024

    Haslett Public Schools is excited to offer summer enrichment to our students again this summer. These programs are designed to address academic needs and support student achievement.
     
    This summer school enrichment program is a three (3) week in-person format and will be facilitated by district teachers, paraprofessionals, retired teachers, college education majors, and teaching assistants. It is free to students who meet the following criteria:
     
    Option 1 - Criteria (Grades K-5):
    Option 1 is for students receiving Title I support and Special Education services, as well as for students who are not progressing at the expected rate and/or are needing extra support in the areas of Mathematics and Literacy/Language Arts. Summer programs will be held at Wilkshire Early Childhood Center (grades K-1), Ralya Elementary School (grades 2-5). Extended School Year (ESY) students will also be mailed a separate letter. 
     
    Option 2 - Criteria (Grades 6-8):
    Option 2 is for students receiving Special Education services, students who took Strategies Classes, or students who failed one or more classes. This program is located at Haslett Middle School. Extended School Year (ESY) students will also be mailed a separate letter. 
     
    Option 3 - Criteria (Grades 9-12):
    Option 3 is for eligible Special Education students and students receiving Extended School Year (ESY) Special Education services. A letter will also be mailed to these ESY families. This program is located at Haslett Middle School.
     
    Schedule:
    The summer school enrichment schedule will be as follows (Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am - 11:30 AM) 
     
    Week 1: June 10 - June 13 
    Week 2: June 17 - June 20
    Week 3: June 24 - June 27
     
    No classes will be offered during the month of July, 2024
     
    The *ESY (Extended School Year) schedule also includes: August 5 - 8, (Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am - 11:30 AM)

    Option 4 - Credit Recovery (Grades 9-12)
    Credit Recovery is available to both general and Special Education students who need to complete credits to meet graduation requirements. If your student is required to attend credit recovery, you will receive a letter in the mail from Haslett High School. 
     
    Schedule:
    Credit Recovery will begin with a "soft start" after school on Tuesday, June 4, Wednesday, June 5, and Thursday, June 6 (11:30 AM - 3:30 PM). The cafeteria will provide a sack lunch for students on those days. 
     
    The remaining Credit Recovery schedule is as follows (Monday - Thursday, 8 AM - 3 PM) :
     
    Week 1: June 10 - June 13
    Week 2: June 17- June 20
    Week 3: June 24 - June 27
    Week 4: August 5 - August 8
    Week 5: August 12 - August 15
     
    No classes will be offered during the month of July 2024.

    Translation Directions:

    1. Right-click anywhere on the application form and several options will appear. 
    2. Click on “Translate” or “Translate to.” Another box will appear in the upper right corner. 
    3. If the language you want to translate is not listed, click on the three vertical dots and select “Choose another language.” 
    4. Click on the drop-down menu, choose the desired language, and click the “translate” button. 
    5. Proceed with completing the form
    • To translate any information on the website directly, use the Translate option in the upper right-hand corner of the website on any page to the desired language. Select "Show original" on the upper left-hand side of any Haslett website page to return to English.
