Study Tips
1/9: Today's study tip is called Dual Coding. This means putting what you know into a new format. Create a diagram, an outline, or a graphic organizer. Seeing information in a new way helps you make connections and remember information. Today's stress management tip is to make time to eat, sleep, and exercise. Our brains need nutritious fuel, movement, and rest to be our best.
1/10: Today's study tip is Self-Quizzing. Make flashcards and ask yourself to elaborate and give examples. Giving context helps your brain build connections and increases memory. Today's stress management tip is to use positive self-talk. Telling yourself "I've got this. I will do my best. I am prepared and ready" helps!
1/11: Today's study tip is about making connections. When you are studying, ask yourself how this connects to what you already know. What else did we learn that is similar? How do the pieces fit together? Making connections builds skills and helps memory. Speaking of connections, today's stress management tip is about connecting with others. Get a study group together, and work with a partner or friend or family member. Remember to take short breaks for fun and joyful activities.
1/12: Today's study tip is about not giving up, even when it's hard and you don't want to. You can do hard things!
