    Any student that is 17.5 or older can register to vote on Tuesday during the student life fair. If you will be 18 on or before November 8th, you will be able to vote in our upcoming state election. Please bring a government issued ID (like a drivers license, state ID card, or passport)  to register.

    Student Life Fair will be next Tuesday, October 4th during A and B lunches. Please come see what clubs and activities may interest you in joining. 

     

    There will be a Be Nice meeting in Mrs. Vessel's room after school on Wednesday, October 5th.

     

    The Arab Culture Society club will be meeting tomorrow morning at 7:15 in Ms. Hart’s room. Every other week we will be gathering to learn about various Arab cultures and countries with their food! Tomorrow the food is falafel from Egypt.

     

    The girls’ cross country team placed second in the Dewitt Invitational on Saturday. Senior Lauren Hunter led the way with a third place finish with a time of 19:58 while junior Dora Henry finished 8th overall with a time of 20:49.

    On the boys’ side, junior Nate Carmody won the boys race with a time of 15:49. Four members of the boys’ team set PR’s in the race, including sophomore Dylan Lydic with a time of 17:06, junior Jack Weichel with a 20:21, senior Tom Wawrzitz with a 21:04 and freshman Cameron Swope with a 22:32. 

     

    Congratulations to the Haslett Girls Varsity Golf team.  They won the conference championship with 4 of the girls receiving all conference recognition. Sydney Dausman finished as medalist in first place, Mina Yoo finished the year in second place, Richa shah was also first team all-conference, and Molly Fortier received all-conference honorable mention.  Great job ladies!

     

    (10/6)  Attention all students, the national honor society is hosting a rainbow run at HHS to raise money for the “You’ve got this!” Project on October 22nd. There will be a table in the cafeteria during both A and B lunches to register for this event and purchase a white t-shirt. Shirts will be on sale throughout this whole week (October 3rd-6th). 

     

    (10/6)  Attention all NHS members, there will be an all member meeting on Tuesday October 11th at 7:15 in the Choir room.   • Any student bringing a guest to the homecoming dance needs to fill out a guest request form in the main office. The form must be signed and turned in by Thursday.

     

    Tickets for Homecoming are on sale today, Wednesday, and Thursday during lunches.  Tickets are $7 cash or a check made payable to Haslett Public Schools.

    The Haslett boys’ cross country team finished 5th and the girls team finished third in the CAAC Red division home meet on Monday.

    Junior Nate Carmody finished second overall with a time of 15:41, setting the school home meet record. Sophomore Dylan Lydic finished 12th overall at 18:03, followed by junior Gideon Kwiliniski at 19:51, junior Jack Weichel with a 20:38, senior TomWarwrzitz at 21:30, freshman Cameron Swope with a 23:05, freshman Major Brecheisen with a 24:22, senior Charles Ross with a 24:46, freshman Haven Nico with a 26:03 and freshman Caleb VanDenBerghe with a 32:08.

    The girls team was led by senior Lauren Hunter who finished fifth overall at 19:27, junior Dora Henry with a 20:55, freshman Abby Russell with a 20:58, senior Elisa Galeone with a 21:00, junior Caroline Flynn with a 24:57 and freshman Taylor Walter with a 38:26.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Congratulations to the Haslett Girls Varsity golf team for finishing in second place at the East Lansing Invitational at Forest Akers West Golf Course on Monday. Sydney Dausman finished in first place and Mina Yoo and Richa Shah finished in the top 10.  

     

    Congratulations also to the Haslett JV girls golf team, on Monday they finished in second place at the Perry Invitational at Glenbrier Golf Course.  Reagan Campbell, Kate Church and Haley Clark were all individual medalists, Great job girls.

    (9/19)The Haslett girls’ cross country team finished 16th and the boys team finished 21st in the bronze division at the Spartan Invitational at Michigan State on Friday.

    On the girls’ side, senior Lauren Hunter finished 8th overall with a time of 20:09, followed by junior Dora Henry at 21:03, freshman Abby Russell at 23:07, sophomore Dani Tepe at 24:35 and junior Caroline Flynn at 25:09.

    Congratulations to the Haslett Girls Varsity golf team for finishing in first place Friday at a 19-team tournament at The Coldwater Country Club. Sydney Dausman was the medalist and Mina Yoo finished in the top 10.  Then on Monday the girls finished in second place at the CAAC Open at East Lansing, Mina Yoo finished in second place overall and Sydney Dausman in fourth.  Great job girls.

    Congratulations to the Haslett Girls golf teams.  The Varsity Golfers won their fourth consecutive jamboree at Williamston. On the JV team Haley Clark and Caroline Collins finished in the top 10. On Varsity Sydney Dausman and Mina Yoo tied for first and Richa Shah also finished in the top 10. Great job Vikings

    (9/9) Congratulations to the Haslett Girls JV and Varsity golf teams.  They traveled to the Emerald golf course in St. Johns and the Varsity Golfers won their third consecutive jamboree. The JV girls made a strong showing and posted some low scores with Haley Clark and Reagan Cambell finishing in the top 10. On the Varsity team, Sydney Dausman was the medalist. Mina Yoo, Richa Shah and Molly Fortier also finished in the top 10. Great job Vikings

    Congratulations to the Haslett Girls Varsity golf team for a great start to the season finishing in first place at the Portland Invitational and winning by 52 strokes. Mina Yoo and Sydney Dausman tied for low score with Molly Fortier finishing in 3rd place. Last Tuesday the girls won the first CAAC Red Jamboree with Sydney finishing in first, Mina in a tie for second and Richa Shah finishing in 6th place. The Girls finished in 3rd place at a 14-team tournament at the Sun-dried Invitational at Eldorado Golf Course in Mason with Sydney finishing first out of 88 players in the field.

    Mon-Senior and Junior class meetings this morning. Seniors at 8:15 and Juniors at 9:25. You will be called from class.

    Sophomore and Freshman Class meetings will be held today in the PAC. Sophomores at 8:15 and Freshman at 9:25.  There will be an announcement to release you from class.

    Congratulations to the Haslett Girls JV and Varsity golf teams.  The Varsity Golfers traveled to Mason and won their second consecutive jamboree. The JV girls made a strong showing and posted some low scores with Christina Dixon and Kate Church finishing in the top 10.  On the Varsity team, Mina Yoo and Sydney Dausman tied with Mason's Claire Heathman for low round. Molly Fortier and Richa Shah also finished in the top 10. Great job Vikings.
