    It’s food drive week!  This food drive supports the Haslett Community Food Bank to supply families with meals over the holidays. Points will be awarded for different items, with:

    1 point per ramen noodle packet,

    5 points per small can, box, or package,

    10 points per large can, box, or package,

    And 25 points per frozen turkey.

    The two classes with the most points per student will get a doughnut and cookie party following the food drive!  Please see Mrs. Vessel or Mrs. Pennington with any questions.

    You must have a physical on file with the main office before tryouts or practices; if you have any questions see Mr. Ferguson or Mrs. Cusack in the main office.

    Congratulations to the Girls Swim and Dive Team on winning the CAAC Red Division title this past weekend. This makes back-to-back championships for the squad! They completely dominated the competition as they won by over 150 points and qualified 8 times for the MHSAA D-3 State Meet.

    Junior Maya Canady was awarded the “Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet” award as she was the only girl to win 4 events!

    Beyond will be meeting in Mrs. Dabler’s room Tuesday at 7:15 PM. We will have another special guest, Mike Garland. He was a former MSU basketball player and more recently a former assistant coach for MSU basketball. Join us for bagels and Mr. Garland’s story of basketball and faith

    The NHS fall drive is this week! See the list of items located on the TVs or Google Classroom, and bring designated items to your first hour before Friday. Any items brought in will get points towards the ultimate frisbee tournament.

    Key Club will be selling candy on Monday Oct. 30th and Tues. Oct.31 at both entrances before school starts? Come and support the organization!

    Pickleball club will be 2:45-4:00 this Thursday at Hillbrook Park.  The GC code for anyone interested is: n5yd6hv

    Congrats to our quiz bowl teams, still holding strong after our second week of competition. Evan Benard and Caleb Clauer remain in the top ten individual scorers for our varsity team, which has won 5 of their 6 matches. Justin Head is currently the second highest individual scorer in the league for JV. Play continues next week in DeWitt.

    Attention National Honor Society Junior and Senior Members - Our induction ceremony is coming up on Thursday evening! We will hold a mandatory practice in the Performing Arts Center during 2nd hour this Thursday. Please report to your 2nd hour teacher for attendance first, and then head directly to the PAC.

    On Friday, our cross country team competed in Regionals. Nate Carmody and Dylan Lydic medaled with 1st and 3rd, respectively. Dora Henry placed 14th for the girls.          Congratulations to the Cross Country teams.

    This year the student council sponsored Powder Puff Football fundraiser was able to donate to the “You’ve got this Project” and the Haslett Community Food Band. Thank you to the student council advisors for helping to organize and supervise the game.

    October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this week our Football Team will be raising money for two local organizations who support Breast Cancer Patients.     If you are interested in trying out the Quiz Bowl academic team, our first meeting/practice will be held today, in Ms. Dykman's room (number 608) right after school. There's no commitment, just come join us and try it out, see if we are the place for you. If you have any questions, please stop by and see Ms. Dykman anytime.

    Today, the Equity Club will be meeting in Mrs Fletcher's room after school.Help create discussions around social issues and everyone is welcome!

    Students, this is a reminder that you must have written or phone permission to leave the school. Your parent or guardian must use the website or the absence line to give their permission BEFORE you can leave the building.

    Any student playing sports: if you have equipment that will not fit in your locker, please drop them off at the safety attendants office after 7:30 am. for storage. 

    Auditions for Haslett's High School production of CINDERELLA will be after school today, wed or tomorrow, thursday. Please go to the choir room at 11am after school if interested. All auditions must be completed by Friday before 4pm.
