Mrs. Camille LeBaron Burgtorf

Welcome to Kindergarten in the Jungle Room!  My name is Camille LeBaron Burgtorf.  I attended Alma college and then earned my master's at Saginaw Valley State University. I have taught preschool and kindergarten in multiple states. I am so excited to be in Michigan, teaching kindergarten in the Jungle Room!

I aim to create a classroom environment where students feel valued, practice problem solving, take ownership, and feel safe. I will provide ample social opportunities for children to interact and learn from one another. We will work on all areas of development: language, reading, fine/small motor, writing, art, social emotional, math, science, pretend play, construction, social studies, and music. My goal is to teach each child at their level, and help them grow and succeed.

My husband is in the Navy and we have four awesome children, who all attend Haslett. We have traveled all over; each of my kiddos was born in a different state, my youngest in Italy.  We have traveled and enjoyed many new experiences. We have a chocolate lab, named Dakota, who is the best infielder when we play baseball.  I love traveling, art, gardening, reading, finding seaglass and seashells, snuggling babies and dogs, and teaching KINDERGARTEN!

Kindergarten is a magical year. We are going to have great fun, while learning!
