Welcome to the Crayon Class!

My name is Ryan Ward and I teach kindergarten in the crayon class. 

I love teaching Kindergarten because it is such an amazing year of growth, adventure, and exploring for your child. This is my third year at Wilkshire teaching kindergarten. Previously I taught for 11 years in the Lansing School District, mostly in kindergarten and first grade. I like to make learning fun by using play doh, arts & crafts, singing and dancing. I look forward to meeting all my students and families.

Something unique about me is that I am a Haslett graduate! After high school I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Central Michigan University. I will soon be completing a Master’s Degree in Literacy Instruction at Michigan State University (Go Green!). I have a third grade daughter and a fifth grade son at Ralya Elementary.
