Eligibility for Free Meals
Complete an Education Benefits Form online (recommended). Online applications go directly to the Food & Nutrition Office. It prevents them getting lost or misplaced.

Complete a paper application using the forms sent home in student opening packets! You may also print off a paper application - see printable application. Blue or Black Ink must be used on paper applications.
The federal government, which has funded a program that allowed all students to receive free meals, has not included these dollars in this year’s budget. To continue to receive the benefits of the program, families will need to complete the Education Benefits Form. (We cannot accept applications that are filled out with pencil). Below are instructions and answers to frequently asked questions. Applications can be submitted at any time during the school year. The school year starts July 1 each year.

or send it to school with your student in a sealed envelope to
the attention of Karen Hagerman/F & N Services.
Applications cannot be processed if there is missing or incomplete information.
Benefits from the previous year will carry over until October 1, 2021 of this school year.
If NO NEW application is received prior to October 1, meal status will return to Full Pay.
If you are NEW to the district and received Meal Assistance from your previous school you MUST fill out a NEW application - benefits do NOT transfer automatically!
Benefits for applications do not take effect until the Office of Food & Nutrition has processed the application and notified you of your benefit status. Any meals purchased prior to this notification are the responsibility of the parent/ guardian.You will be notified by email if one is provided and a paper copy will be mailed - please make sure your address is correct at the school your student attends.
