Dear Parents and Staff,

Haslett Public Schools will be open tomorrow. Our crisis teams will be available at all school buildings to assist students and staff who may need to talk with someone following the tragic events that happened last night on the campus of Michigan State University. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families, as well as the community of Michigan State University.

Outside resources are available to you and your family by contacting the Community Mental Health hotline at (517) 346-8460. Michigan State University also has a hotline where additional resources can be obtained by calling (517) 355-8270, and pressing ”1” at the prompt.  

The safety and security of our staff and students continues to be a top priority for our district, and we will be following our normal safety practices and procedures tomorrow at each of our school buildings. We appreciate your continued support.
