I am honored to be part of the science team at Haslett Middle School.  I have degrees from MSU and Spring Arbor University and began my teaching career at Woldumar Nature Center, where I worked as a naturalist and program director and developed my passion for environmental education.  Since then, I've become a Certified Environmental Educator and I look forward to sharing my love of science and the natural world with 8th graders on team 81!  Though this is only my 4th year at Haslett Middle School, I've been teaching science for 17 years.

I live in East Lansing with my husband and 2 sons and when I'm not teaching I love to play outside with friends and family, read, ride my bike and listen to music.  I'm looking forward to getting to know the Haslett Middle School community better this year - Go Vikings!
