The class supplies for 2D Design will be; a regular, yellow, 2B pencil(s), pencil sharpener, ruler, and notebook. The notebook will be used for taking notes and sketching, so if you prefer a notebook with lines, that's fine. I sometimes prefer a graph paper notebook because it helps me to measure my drawings easily.

Students will learn various drawing techniques and develop their skills in observational drawing. Students will develop an understanding of design principles and use this knowledge to create their own artistic compositions with the use of media such as graphite, collage, watercolor, acrylic paint, ink, etc. Students will gain an overall understanding of art and will become comfortable with the visual communication process.
