From March 30, 2021 Email
Dear Haslett Pool Patrons,
We have learned that an individual who visited the Haslett High School Pool has tested positive for COVID-19. We were informed that the individual was in attendance at the 6:15 AM sessions of Early Bird Swim the week of March 22, 2021. The health department does not consider anyone at the pool to be “close contacts;” however because there is a chance of exposure, it does require notice to the community.
The Ingham County Health Department recommends the following actions to help limit the spread of COVID-19, even if you are not experiencing symptoms:
Wear a mask (covering mouth and nose) while in public places or if people who do not live with you must visit your home.
Practice social distancing by maintaining a distance of 6 feet apart.
Practice frequent hand-washing using soap for 20 seconds or hand sanitizer with 60% alcohol.
Follow capacity restrictions of social gatherings.
Cover coughs and sneezes with tissue or with the inside of your elbow and immediately wash your hands.
Stay home if you are sick; you can also get tested
Thank you for understanding that, due to medical privacy laws, we are not able to release the names or other identifying information of individuals with COVID-19. We will continue to communicate any applicable changes or updates with you.
If you have any questions, contact the Ingham County Health Department at 517-887-4496. For answers to your COVID-19 questions, please call the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services COVID-19 Hotline at 888-535-6136 or visit https://www.michigan.gov/

COVID Protocols for Haslett Community Pool
The following COVID mitigation protocols are in place for the safety of our
patrons and staff:
-Stay home if you are not feeling well or if you/someone you were exposed to tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
-Stay 6 FT away from anyone not from your household, both in and out of the water.
-Masks must be worn at all times in the building and on deck when not in the water. They can be hung from your starting block while swimming.
-There is a limit of 1 person/household per lane with a maximum of 2 people (must be from the same household).
-Group locker rooms are not available at this time so please come dressed to swim. The two family restrooms will be open, if using for changing or showering purposes please be aware of other patrons who may be waiting as well.
-Early Bird sessions are for adult lap/walk only (ages 13 and up accompanied by an adult from the same household are welcome).
-Shared water workout equipment items (i.e. kickboards, noodles, etc.) are not available.
-Patrons should bring their own water bottle because the water station is closed at this time.
We will continue to evaluate these new protocols and adjust as needed.
Thank you for your patience as we work to ensure the safe return of our aquatic opportunities and programs.
When additional Early Bird Swims, Evening Swims, and other aquatic activities are added they will be announced through the
