How to Apply for Free and Reduced-price Meal Benefits
Complete an application on-line at www.lunchapp.com (recommended)
online applications go directly to the Food & Nutrition Office.
**Omits them getting lost or misplaced**
Complete a paper application using the forms sent home in student opening packets!
You may also print off a paper a application - see below.
Blue or Black Ink must be used on paper applications.
(we cannot accept application that are filled out with pencil)
Below are instructions and answers to frequently asked questions.
Applications for 2018/2019 can be submitted any time during the
school year starting July 1, 2018.
Send fully completed applications to:
Food & Nutrition Services
4406 Okemos Rd, Okemos, MI 48864
or send it to school with your student in a sealed envelope to
the attention of Lynna Hassenger/F & N Services.
Applications cannot be processed if there is missing or incomplete information.
Benefits from the previous year will carry over until September 25, 2018 of this school year.
If NO NEW application is received prior to September 25, 2018
meal status will return to Full Pay.
IF you are NEW to the district and received Meal Assistance from your
previous school you MUST fill out a NEW application -
benefits do NOT transfer automatically !
Benefits for applications do not take effect until the Office of Food & Nutrition has processed the application and notified you of your benefit status.
Any meals purchased prior to this notification are the responsibility of the Parent/Guardian.
You will be notified by email if one is provided and a paper copy will be mailed - please make sure your address is correct at the school your student attends.
