  • Middle School Musical

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! What a wonderful production this year of a classic fairy tale! The production included over 85 students. It was outstanding to see our students tell this story with their own voice. The pride and increased confidence that students gain from creating, producing and sharing a piece of art is an a wonderful experience. Thank you for continuing to support the arts in Haslett!

  • 7th Graders visit the Holocaust Museum

Our 7th graders traveled to the Holocaust Memorial Center this week. The experience was one many of us will never forget. Through guided tours, our students observed pictures, videos, newspapers, clothing, weapons and an assortment of other historical memorabilia that helped tell the story of this dark time in history. Our field trip concluded with a powerful presentation by a Holocaust survivor. The memories shared were insightful--yet painful to hear. Despite all the suffering the survivors endured, they left us with a message of hope and resiliency. If you're interested in checking out this amazing facility, visit www.holocaustcenter.org.
