Mr. VanRemmen has been in education for over 30 years. Over the past 20 years, he has served as a teacher at Ralya Elementary and as a Principal of Discovery Elementary (DK-2) in Williamston. Mr. VanRemmen is committed to creating and sustaining a joyful learning environment where everyone feels safe and valued.

Mr. VanRemmen is a graduate of Michigan State University and Aquinas College. He resides in East Lansing with his wife, who is a fourth grade teacher. They have two daughters, a son-in-law, and their dogs, Chance and Cooper.  Mr. VanRemmen enjoys MSU sports and all things Disney!
